When I had an issue it was bloody frustrating

IIRC i had the same problem and had to put the card in a DSI running 1.4.2 or earlier and update the R4i card in that DS then it worked fine. Not an expert by any means but it worked for me. On the first menu there is an option to update. Just run that and it should be good.

Is there a reliable 3DS card out yet?
Even if it will only play normal DS games at the moment. Or have I missed the news that 3d games will also work?

I got 3DS for my son and have R4i with the 1.4 'flash' on it, but cant get it to work on his 3DS. It will supposedly run on 3DS but only for non 3DS games, which isnt a problem, but would like it to work.
D/loaded v1.35b firmware, but no joy. Any assistance appreciated.

Bought bundle as my lad wanted a new 360, he's now gone back, took his new 360 and left me with a Kinect and no adapter.

my lads R4i on DSi XL has stopped working.Been working fine for some months. Checked on PC and all the files are renamed, in fact just one folder there. So I formatted and reinstalled FW. Now it wont load at all, it freezes half way on loading the R4 menu screen, just get the top corner ...

The chip may / may not be upgradable.
I had a wiinja v2, which was not upgradable, also it screwed up the softmodding.

have softmooded my wii all is working well except Pokemon Box Ruby & Sapphire for GC which I can only find Jap or USA. When it starts to load the bootmii screen flashes up then screen goes black and the system freezes on a black screen.

Any ideas how to get around this. ...
