Regards Scruff, My ext 750 Gb drive fkd up like that. I got a copy of Hirens boot cd and used the recover NTFS function. It did take 2 days solid to scan the drive but all files were accessible after that. Later on I quick formatted it under vista and Hirens could still pull off files after that. ... Just seen this.
