No mate, got an epson with a card reader built in and it doesnt support SDHC's either!

There's often something written on the card, but if not, you could try a speed test using HD Tune .... and hopefully get a better idea.

As the poster stated you should of tried to backup the data if possible first before trying the delete partition bit because thats the last resort.

You should still be able to get your data of the drive with a decent file recovery program. I personally have recovered customers files from drives with the same or similar problems using File Scavenger 3 but I'm sure some of the free programs such as Recuva should do the job.

Have you run chkdsk against the drive and it looks like your partition table is currupt.

You need something to rebuild your partition table.

chkdsk cant access the drive, ive tried umpteen programs to rebuild the partition table but nothing can do ...

Have ran acronis on the drive, it tells me i have a corrupted file record, does anyone know how to fix this? ive googled like fook and cant find antyhing, im thinking its a format and start again job, but id rather now wipe the 500gb of stuff thats on the drive if i can avoid it!
