What exactly is the difference between office and office enterprise? My sister is a nurse so I might be interested.

A few simple things to check.

Is the oil on the dipstick going a lighter brown colour.
Is the coolant level going down.

A head gasket can fail (or start to fail) in many ways:
Coolant to oil - Oil can start to go light brown colour.
Coolant to cylinder ...

Are any other illumination lights working elsewhere.
Also maybe the illumination dimmer dial maybe turned all way down.

Are you sure that all of the electrical connectors are plugged into the back ?

As mentioned by fireman2203. Common fault is the wishbone bushes.
Makes the noise when you accelerate away or brake.

Definately remove all leaves from around the heater intake etc...

I would try an lift the carpet up and see how damp it is underneath the carpet as it could be worse. Also do this to dry it out.
May be worth also checking your radiator water level as your heater matrix could be ...
If it were my car i would definately clean the strainer just to make sure.
Should'nt be too bad to do.
Should be able to drop the sump and probably take it off.

Pretty much agree with Big Red on Fiat, Peugeot, Citreon and Renault.
Worked in a garage for 10 years and they always seemed to be the cars that would always come back and cost a fair bit to fix.

Going for something like a small Vauxhall or a Ford is probably best bet as prices ...
