Vigin media 100mb broadband upgrade today :0)

Just upgraded from 50mb to 100mb Virgin media broadband today..............well impressed so far yes

Toying with this but can't see it being worth the extra tenner a month. Very happy on 50mbit and not being throttled for the time being.

As soon as 50mbit start getting treated like 10 & 20mbit connections then I'll upgrade, not sooner.

I do a lot of downloading via Astraweb using SSL conection and being able to download a dvd in 4 minutes is worth the tenner to me yes

Ooh you are in West Yorkshire, might have to have a look see if I can get it. Are there any hardware changes or is it done behind the scenes???

Just swapped out the modem and D-Link router for an all-in-one Superhub
He tested the line, changed the attenuator for a +5 and then had to get Virgin to connect it to the network via his hand held tablet.
Took about 20 mins

they are already hitting the 50 meg,it's pi$$ing me right off.

*sigh* my mobile broadband solution doesn't always seem so great. I am happy when I see a steady 400kb/s :(

50 isnt currently being throttled as far as i know. unless the T&C have changed?

Alot of moneys for a service that you wont be able to use for long before they start fecking with you

Maybe but not on port 443 :)

Grabbed loads over the past few months and it hasn't skipped a beat.
