Personally I would wait for the dual core androids that will be out soon!

When are they due to be out though?

Completely opposite to what I've heard from other users of the phone. I think he has a dodgy one.

I would have thought the same but it's definitely not a battery problem so maybe some badly coded app? Dunno. Big device too!

So many Apple fans have fallen hook line and sinker into their biggest strength. The Apple image/marketing.

The amount of times I've read "it just works" on these boards is staggering.

If you hold the handset the other way; it doesn't work.
If you want to customize your experience; it doesn't work.
If you want to write your own code; it doesn't work.
If you want a spare battery; it doesn't work.
If you want to increase your storage; it doesn't work.
If you don't want to rely on itunes for everything; it doesn't work.
If you want to play differently encoded vids; it doesn't work.

Looks nice though ;)

I'd guess March but you never know!

I am not an Apple fan but I do like my iPhone. thought I better correct some of Ganty's points.

If you hold the handset the other way; it doesn't work. - What?
If you want to customize your experience; it doesn't work. - Why bother when it works fine. But there's plenty of customization can be done through Cydia packages
If you want to write your own code; it doesn't work. - Wrong
If you want a spare battery; it doesn't work. - True
If you want to increase your storage; it doesn't work. - True
If you don't want to rely on itunes for everything; it doesn't work. - Wrong - other apps out there will work
If you want to play differently encoded vids; it doesn't work. - Wrong - VLC works a treat

1- the wrong way, ie, covering the antenna and dropping calls.
2 - so it can't be customized out of the box. Another hoop to jump through before you can do what you want with your phone.
3 - Again, apps have to be either signed by apple or installed on a device which has been modified. Neither is needed with Android.

I may be wring about the iTunes bit (who knows it's happened before :) )

And hasn't VLC been removed from the app store?

Didn't want an argument, I just don't understand all the fuss about what is an essentially inferior product (on a geek level)

lol - no I didn't want an argument - just thought it worth pointing out as Fresh is looking to compare. Dunno about VLC being removed - it's still on Installous though ;)

As I have said in a previous post, the iPhone is just a "Name to have" and a fashion ststement. That is now changing due to the Android platform.

In the way that I use a phone there is nothing at all that the iPhone can do that my Galaxy S orDesire cannot do.

My personal opinion is that the iPhone is way too overpriced.

I must admit that my battery life has improved significantly since I updated to iOS 4.2.1 though, lol.
