wifi password

The gf HTC hero as started asking for a password to connect to our sky WiFi never done it before and won't connect any ideas cheers

Am sure you will have done it but you tried putting the password in if the phone has lost it? or switch the router off and on after a few min? do other things still connect ok on wifi?

it has never aked foe a pasword before she said it just startd asking out of the blue, looking like a hard reset i think

Have you double checked she is trying to connect to the right network?

You mean your wifi is usually unsecured? Drop me your address, I could do with another hotspot for my animal porn...

Delete the wifi profile and link to router again. God knows why this happens but around once every 2 weeks someone reports this with their laptop or phone at work.

tried it and didnt work, still asking for password after a hard reset wont let me go to the network key box atall....

Try going into the router configuration page and change the password. Sounds daft I know but sometimes my iPad does this (while other devices are working fine) and no amount of faffing about will work until I either change channel on the router or delete and re-enter a new password. I usually keep the same password actually, just alternate between upper and lower case characters.
