Ive just added it online...there was a self-install option on there for a hard ethernet connection.

So tell them that...no charge! ;)

Will do, cheeky bastards!

I think their point is that as I am getting the box for free then in order to sign up, I need to pay the enginerr the 60. If I said, I'll just sign up to HD myself then upgrade for free like you guys, they will probably suggest that I would then need to apy for the box. Thats where they're trying to get me I think.

(remember I don't have HD yet. its not just a free upgrade they're trying to charge me for)

Any chance of giving me some examples of programmes/films that are on now? Just want an idea of what kind of stuff is on it.

The cost of ?60 is for a Sky Wireless Self Install all other types of installs are at no extra cost.

HOW MUCH WILL ANYTIME+ COST?

As Sky Anytime+ is a bonus service included with the customer’s subscription, there will be no additional monthly subscription charge. However in some cases a one off installation charge may
apply.

Where an engineer is on site anyway (e.g. installing Sky+HD) then no charge will be levied for installation and activation of Sky Anytime+.
Where the sole reason for an engineer being on site is to install the Anytime+, then a one off installation charge may apply.

Should a customer opt to purchase wireless equipment from Sky, there will also be a charge for the equipment itself of ?60 (this will however be a customer installation with no engineer required to
attend).

Yeah, to be honest it isn't that great. Have had this service for around 6 to 8 weeks now and only watched one film on it. arf
