Just a heads up that Sjy have released codes for current customers who dont have Sky HD to be able to upgrade to the following:

Free HD box
Self Install or engineer install for ?30.00
Hald Price HD subs for 6 months.

Its the same whatever package your on...even if your on full sub its ?10/month

It says above its free for 6 months so in effect instead of paying ?120 a year your only paying ?60 plus a free HD box.

Would this work for a 2nd box. I already have Sky+ HD and the channels but my second box is a standard one without the + and HD ?

If not I will just have to dig the old Sky+ receiver out of the loft and get it paired up, lol.

will be going up to 10.25 come the vat increase. I got 6 months offer through door and says 10.25 will be charged after the initial 6 month. although it should be 10.21 sky rounding up not down Greedy B's

My maths work it out at ?10.25 M8

?10.00 the current cost plus 2.5% which takes it up to 17.5% vat

10 + 2.5% = ?10.25.

You can't just add 2.5% on, as you are also adding it to the existing vat too (2.5% x 17.5%).

For the real sum divide by 1.175 to remove current VAT and multiply by 1.2

Which gives a total of ?10.21
