Sorry for the late reply guys...

Was on my holidays...

Ok, what I will try to do tonight is, see if I can get one of my external hdd (I think i have one which goes into the mains somewhere)

The file system has to be Fat32 right? and with regards to the homebrew files, do I have to use software to get it to work or just put the image on the drive?

Many thanks.

Have u got a USB memory stick u can use, big enough to dump just at least 1iso on to test?
Once u get it working on the USB stick it should be the same process for a larger drive.
I use the WBFS manager from the USB Loader Options / Game Managers section in Renke's thread .... to take care of formatting and transferring.
And give Neogamma or whatever you're using a minute to load as it can take a while to open sometimes.

Mines WBFS and works a treat. You can use Fat32, but I'm sure it needs a wbfs folder on it with the games in.

littlebilly1 was this a Red Wii?
littlebilly1 14.12.2010, 03:31
No mate it was a brand new White wii, which I'm assuming have the same drives as the new red and black wii's because it wouldn't read backed up games

Ah, must have been then!

So, did you follow the guide from the link shown above? I used I think Hackmii.

It installed Neogamma 8 I think and the USB Channel...both don't work.

I got a funny feeling its either somethings not quite right with the softmod ive done, or the media I am inserting into the Wii.

I have a 16gig mem stick at home, i might give it a go with that and try a different USB loading software too.

I used renke's guide yes mate but I've softmodded loads and loads of wii's beforehand using the old Zelda twilight hack and bannerbomb after that, wiihacks is another place you should be using if you're having difficulties, when you start neogamma what is it showing across the bottom above start?
