The boxes can still view "ketchup" & "p*v" via "piggyback channels"! Just use as backup kitchen/2nd room old terrestrial box with pot luck on channel view riding ;) usually ok if viewing in seperate rm select & watch x

I'm confused...?
Let me work this out -
I get a Piggyback into my (non-existent) 2nd Kitchen, spread Ketchup all over an old terrestrial box, use pot luck choosing a channel, but make sure I'm in a separate room...

N3 is fixed and all it took was some Heinz and a FreeView receiver! Who knew!? :p

Wine + Internet = Winglish.

You were saying? ;)

I think you mean, so long as you have a cable box from VM - you can change the channel on your TV in the Kitchen and watch the same channel as is on in the Living Room - More commonly known as a feed split?

There maybe an old service post within the forum labled "telep*rt" channels (in blocks of 90) piggyback for say upto 90 different streams within someones area! Have to edit you own services (crims*n is a free editor) but may make your paper weight more useable sarcastic other than channels 1,2,3,4 & 5!

I'm going back to posts in the year of when m*vies & sp*rts went p*v! but still there, only prob is you don't know when anyone other than yourself orders a prog. Although if you have access & put something on in 1 room you maybe able to it see in another! ie: Topic Title - use for box after n3!

@bagpuss, you really don't need to be so "covert" in your posts. Starring words like movies and sports is not necessary.

@deja-vu, in case you don't know what he mean... despite me knowing you should or probably do... ;-)

A dbox or dreambox has/had the ability to scan for all channels, even ones that a regular VM box is programmed not to display. These include all of the "interactive" chanels, big brother feed channel and some of the ppv stuff. Depending on your area depends what "type" of ppv you could get. In my area there were I think about 10 channels with odd names, that basically came on when someone sharing your cabinet ordered something from ppv, it would then stream on that channel for the duration is was being watched. Not incredibly useful, but nice if you wanted something different to watch. I think also you were susceptible to pause, rewind and stop if the person who ordered the ppv messed about.

Useful to view your own catch up or on demand stuff in another room though.
