Transfer sms from sim to iphone

Now, i have an iphone, i bet i have loads of questions.. lol

I did have a w995 and all sms messages were saved to sim, i have put this into my new iphone. Is there a way to get these messages coming up on iphone please?
I have looked up on this, and it seems you couldn't, but that was back in like 2008.. So, has anything changed? Can i do it now?
I have a jailbroken 3gs if that helps
