Yeah D-Gen rocks for psp
russbeer 14.10.2010 18:49
You don't put them into the same folder on your psp stick though do you? and don't you have to alter something in the debug menu to run them?
littlebilly1 14.10.2010 18:54
I put nes, snes and mega drive emu's on my lads psp, I've never played the thing as much as I do now (got to take a 4-6 week break now though due to a broken hand) gutted :(
Spennyboy 14.10.2010 20:36
That looks awesome.

I cant look at to much at work - but with the SD card and 'download your own games' being touted - is it a case of just loading the SD card with the usual .smc etc roms and off you go?

If so ... = mother fucking win! ?20 of my money all day long.
_Belial 14.10.2010 23:20
Or you could get one of these :)

....
russbeer 15.10.2010 01:29
but they're ?50-?100 not ?20
_Belial 15.10.2010 05:25
Yeah but they also play CPS1/2/MAME/SNES/NES/Gameboy/MD/SMS :)
russbeer 24.10.2010 14:14
The ebay one arrived yesterday. Not had chance to play yet but switched it on for a quick look and all looks good. I think Blaze are just importing this actual model and claiming it as their own. More to follow :)
russbeer 24.10.2010 22:25
The one thats arrived is exactly the same as the one advertised on the Blaze website, all they've done is repackaged it and doubled the price.

The games pre-loaded on it are different to those I mentioned, and are Megadrive ones, not Master System. They are:
Alex Kidd and the Enchanted Castle
Alien Storm
Altered Beast
Arrow Flash
Columns 3
CrackDown
Decap Attack
Mean Bean Machine
Ecco
Ecco Jr.
Eswat
Flicky
Gain Ground
Golden Axe
Jewel Master
Kid Chameleon
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi 3
Sonic and Knuckles
Sonic Spinball

not managed to get any roms on the sd working yet, after googling it appears to only take up to a 2gb sd and all mine are bigger at the moment, will have to see if i have a tiny one lying around somewhere.

Got a spare 2GB card here Russ if you want it/need one. I had a bunch of them left over from cameras we had given us at work for a project. Gave them all away but I can see a Kingston 2GB left in the drawer.
russbeer 24.10.2010 23:46
Thanks Zoots, thats mighty decent of you.

I'll have a gander in my "gadget bits drawer" and let you know mate.

Cheers!
Zoots 24.10.2010 23:47
No worries. Drop me a PM if you're stuck.

Found a 1gb memory card in my in-laws camera, they'll be none the wiser ;)

Just put Sonic 1 onto it and it works brilliantly. There are some slight soundtrack issues, but other than that. Its great.

The rechargable battery in it lasts around 7 hours they say. Fuckin brill! :)
doughboy 26.10.2010 16:52
How's framerate compared to the original?

I bought one of those tiny megadrive things that has preloaded roms & a cart slot, but the emulation is terrible, hence why it's covered in dust.

As for the portable megadrive, here's its daddy for those who haven't seen one
....
russbeer 26.10.2010 17:12
The framerate is fine, can't tell any difference personally, as i said, i ran a good few games last night and the only problem with any of them is a slight slowing of the soundtrack on occasion, but the games run sound. Eswat is fucking hard!
