iMame4all

This has had a massive update and got released today on Cydia. It supports 2200 roms, most full framerate with perfect sound on my iPhone 4

It uses an older romset (the much used 0.35 romset) so some of the roms you will find won't be the right versions.

Here are the games I have personally tried so far that run perfectly.

Galaxian
Ghosts and Goblins
Hunchback (donkey kong version)
Mooncresta
Scramble
Space invaders
Timepilot
Star force (yay!)
Track and Field (plays brilliantly!)


If anyone could list roms theyve tried that work well and where they got them then that would be great.

I second that! They have spent a lot of time making this happen and paying (for it again!!!) ?1.19 it's great!

Over the years I must have bought this game on so many platforms! From Speccy to Xbox 360 and now iPhone as well as playing on Mame!

R-Type!!! F**k yeah!! Should be in the top 10 best shooters of all time, /me rushes off to the appstore

OK grabbed R-Type, touch controls are defo the way to play it, the others just don't give you enough responsiveness.

I'd like to compare the mame one to the AppStore one but the mame rom I found was the wrong one (from a newer set)

I can confirm following work on iMame4All. Basically 90% of stuff works if you have the correct roms for it.

Ooooh, Nemesis (or Gradius for none uk players) is THE scrolling shooter. Absolute classic. Got it on the psp and it's arcade perfect.

I'll have to have a play later.

I managed to get salamander, 720 and Rolling Thunder working. When I get back off my holiday i'll convert my entire romset (100% 0.32b) to 0.35 so should have all the roms.

You can add the following as working :-

Rally X
Kung Fu Master
Commando
Marble Madness
Karate Champ

PS. Quick way to install roms via windows is to use iphonebrowser v1.9.3.0
....
and drag and drop roms (zipped) into the following folder :-

var/mobile/media/roms/imame4all/roms

If anyone finds a working Bubble Bobble it'd be very much appreciated

I've tried all mine, and ran through clrmame but can't get it to work.
