Adobe Media Player How to clear history

theodotcom 01.03.2010, 21:37
Does anyone know how I can clear the history in Adobe Media Player, a mate decided to play a clip from his usb stick on my laptop and now a thumbnail is stuck on the left side of media player. The thumbnail is still there even though he removed his usb stick.

Can't find any info on removing the clips at adobe or online.

Thanks in advance

I'm guessing if you go to c:\documents and settings\, then select the profile you are using, either under application data or local settings\application data you will find a load of adobe folders. Reboot and log in as another user, delete the folder there, then next time you log in it will be as if you have never run that program.

(I would make backups of any dirs before deleting).

I tried that previously but none of the folders there are anything to do with the media player.

Does the media player actually do anything a much better free media player like VLC doesn't do? If not just uninstall and install VLC mate.

Thought about just setting vlc as the default for flv files but dont know if there would be any conflicts with anything else.
If I dont find a way to delete histroy may just have to do that.
How could they not have a clear history option, whats wrong with adobe!
