OrangeJuicey 20.05.2009, 03:01 Just seen a video for a new handheld called the pandora seen a video of it running quake 3 at 40fps which is much better than the gp2x running quake 2 at what looked like a lot less fps. I couldn't find a mention of the price difference though. That'll probably be the killer.

Yes these are awesome.
They cost $330 just now, but only a couple of thousand were made for the first batch. you can still get one by emailing the guys at openpandora.org
ptm _Belial 20.05.2009, 03:18 Did the people who actually paid their cash for the first batch last year actually receive a unit yet though? I was tempted at the time, but had a feeling they werent' going to deliver as promised in feb, guess it's still not out yet. OrangeJuicey 23.05.2009, 00:27 $330 thats not too bad at all but then again you have to think this is about the same price as a cheap netbook. Saw a lenovo netbook for 180 quid so its almost too expensive for what it is.
I do love messing around with things like this though EvilBoB 23.05.2009, 00:50 Here's a video of the Pandora in action courtesy of youtube
