Pandora Handheld. GP2X killer

OrangeJuicey 20.05.2009, 03:01
Just seen a video for a new handheld called the pandora seen a video of it running quake 3 at 40fps which is much better than the gp2x running quake 2 at what looked like a lot less fps. I couldn't find a mention of the price difference though. That'll probably be the killer.

Yes these are awesome.

They cost $330 just now, but only a couple of thousand were made for the first batch. you can still get one by emailing the guys at openpandora.org

Did the people who actually paid their cash for the first batch last year actually receive a unit yet though? I was tempted at the time, but had a feeling they werent' going to deliver as promised in feb, guess it's still not out yet.

$330 thats not too bad at all but then again you have to think this is about the same price as a cheap netbook. Saw a lenovo netbook for 180 quid so its almost too expensive for what it is.

I do love messing around with things like this though

Never had a GP2X myself but I did have a GP32 blu which was great fun.
