make shure that there is no other antivirus running on the machine run all of the removal tool like norton and mcafee removal tool then re install the antivirus.

Use Tuneup Utilities to clean the machine

Run Malwarebytes and ...

if it is not the ram then download hard disk sentinal and run it to see if there is any corruption on the disk itself but i think that it is the ram too. Have you checked to see if the soundcard drivers are installed correctly and that the codecs are ok maby also download vlc player and try playing
