If you power on with the eject button to load xell, your CPU key is displayed in the text as it loads.
Take a picture with a camera/phone...think is set 2 and 4, or set 4 and 5, can't remember off hand but it does tell you.

tried these on the PS3 today to play Gran turismo. only problem is i get sound on the menu, but when the game starts no sound will come through the headset.

anybody experienced this before?

Go through the sound options in the dash and turn off DTS, I had a similar ...

I just managed to get into a good room, had about 12 races, was able to choose tracks myself etc.
Online, this is MUCH better than I expected, it's very technical and you have to concentrate as every movement makes a difference.

As bbshark says, you don't need an update to play this game.
It's a bad burn, try a slower speed or preferably better media.
