Personally myself, after weighing up the pro's and con's, i've decided to take the risk and buy an Apad clone, with Android installed. A while back I was tempted to buy an Iphone, but I didn't I bought a HTC instead and installed Android (Which is basically kind of a poor man's IOS).... But better ...
