Ahh.... the zte launcher version was the best of the two (imho).

Thanks Lloydi, though I don't know why people cannot connect, I just tried it using DroidFTP and I got straight in.
I hope you have upped the correct Alpha 4...the one with Wavesecure removed and Fancywidget added is the one to use.

One thing I have found with this currentl Alpha4 rom is that every few days, Im getting a screen freeze where the phone is working but wont unlock. Ive had to remove the battery to get it going again. I see from the forums that Im not the only one to have this, and I would imagine its being worked ...

I found this Alpha 4 rom to be much better on battery usage than the prior roms. But as with most smart phones these days, you are doing to well to get more than a day or so out of it. It seems pretty much expected that you have a usb charge lead on your pc during the day at work.

The rom is for both according to Modaco....but as you are taking a backup, it doesnt matter if it doesnt work, just restore.
As I understand it there are some supplies of oled still in the shops on black ones, but those are quickly being replaced by tft's. All the white ones are all tft apart

Sorry about that. The server was up, but for some reason wasnt accepting connections. Rebooted it now and its fine now (tested with DroidFTP).

The idea is to use the rom update file matching the device you are planning to update the cartridge on.

So, if you are updating on an old DS Lite, use the DSL version.

If you want to update the cartridge on a DSi, you would use the DSi version, but the Dsi would have to ...

tronads cheers mate you were right i was useing the 1.4 update and not the 1.4.1 update,
i got 3 cards working there but i think i have messed up my other 3 by doing the 1.4 update also 3 of my memory cards are now write protected and they wont format any way round this

danny phantom is normal. You just need the normal acekard menu files on from there.
However, from your filename, you are still only using the 1.4 update and not the 1.4.1 update.

AK2IFW_UPDATE_14_DSI.NDS is, if I am not mistaken, the rom you run if you are updating the card on a Dsi running prior to 1.4 firmware. There is a different .nds file that you need to use if you are updating on an older DS Lite. You need AK2IFW_UPDATE_141_DLS.NDS which can be found here ...

Just to add.....Ive just looked at my FTP log, and apart from a dissapointing increase in people trying other username/password combinations, I notice some people have been grabbing older 2.1 rom's. I'm not bothered about this, but just incase this is unintentional, here are the filenames required ...

I put a chinese rom on which was 2.2 and the icons/text ended up very small. Any apps I downloaded would not install. ended up putting 2.1 back on and it resolved the problem.

Yeah, that was the first Froyo release, and required a lot of fixing and messing around...Ive tried them all,

Also note that the Moaco Froyo rom is (currenly) only availble in Alpha 3, Alpha 4 is for subscribers only. Alpha 4 highly recommended as course location is fixed on it.
