I used to be a fan of HPs but gone off them now. Out of interest Wompa, do you get them in due to graphics issues or a range of issues? Almost all manufacturers have the dreaded nvidia graphics issues.

that alienware is fcking massive and not all that bang for buck it is only a core 2 as standard so it is a hefty sum for the i7 upgrade it is an OK looking machine but beleive me it is big and carrying around that big thing will get annoying after awhile

from personal experiance i had a dell xps and it is a quality machine 1 grade down from the alienware machines but check out the asus laptops i repair laptops for a living and i never see these machines with problems worth a look imo

run memtest86 to test the ram probably fried memory also get the hoover out and clean all the ventilation for it. Better yet if you can take the computer apart probably alot of fluff where the fans are

install malware bytes do a full update and run that. if this fails then rename the malwarebytes install tool as something else like m.exe then install and update and run if you still cant run it then find out where u installed it to in programme files and rename that exe file to m aswell
