I got a new revo a couple of weeks back and upgraded the ram straight away. There was a sticker on it, but it did not say anything along the lines of "warranty void if removed"....what it did say was to read the warranty conditions before breaking seal...I had a quick look at them before ...

Yes that is wierd, it indicates it was sat in the stock room at Argos for at least a year, which is unusual for a current product. Its possible it had been up on a shelf as a display box or something I guess.

I think the contract is only with argos for the first 12 months then it is with the manufacturer mate.

However the contract is always the seller and not the manufacturer regardless of the timescale...but now its out of its 1st year ...

I wouldnt worry too much about the standard warranty....M/S are just going off the build date, they have no idea when it was sold.....and if it were a non 3 red lighter, you would simply have to provide proof of purchase and your warranty would be extended to the anniversary of that.

Ive had DNS problems this week. The internet dropped on nearly all my machines, and it turned out to be all the machines that had auto on the dns that died. The preset DNS server in my router must have been switched off or something, as the machines that still worked had different set DNS servers ...

I would have been very interested in one of these for the back room...my trusty old A100 has served me very well.....but Ive now got a Revo for the back room, and its utterly brilliant.

1. You can never lend your games to your mates as you will get them banned.
