think amazon or such like sell em for around 60 quid.

A flashed firmware upgrade shouldnt cause this prob if it was working after the flash upgrade.
Which progs are not seeing it?

I dont think thats a prob with red faction.. Only 3 ntsc games this has been a prob for me with are
007 nightfire
Toe Jam and earl
and nba street 2
using the ntsc/pal selector solved the prob.

All three of these froze at beginning.. how far ...

Just a little advice for those looking to patch the hard disk epsylon version.. only use the project-x patch (PX-MATFIX.RAR)
ignore the others as they dont work properly.

have had no probs in xbox or sony dvd player using purple bulkpaqs, e-proformance, fws, yellow datawrites, datasafe ones, Samsung bealls and nan-yas.
The software I use is stomp record now max 4.50. ...

Chippy mentioned windvr.. which does capture good dvd complient mpeg.
You could also check out iuvcr if you want to capture to avi
....

I use my ati allinwonder radeon with windvr for mpeg capture and iuvcr or virtualdub for realtime divx avi ...

Pick one up around ?25 or less if ya search around
