Launch drive? Will have been a MS25 - which can be done with almost any sata controller.

If you want to flash a MS28 you need the '0800' disk which basically turns off the firmguard so the drive can be read/written to easily.

You need the disk for it to actually run. As far as I know normal 360's don't play copies
